i have a graph with a line and it originates from these points (-7,7)
and then possible answers below it
a=-7
b=7
c=1
d--1

So are you saying that each y-coordinate is 7? Without the y-coordinate, you can't figure out the slope of a line...unless you already have the equation for the line. Then all you have to remember is that

y = mx + b

m = the slope, and b = the y - intercept

You only have ONE point. It takes 2 to determine a straifht line. With only 1 point, a line of any slope can pass through it
