A natural number n>1 is said to be square free if d is in the set of natural numbers with d^2|n implies d = 1. Show that n is square free if and only if n = p1....pk for distinct primes p1....pk.

I'm not really sure how to go about this... any help would really be appreciated!

CDCl3 is a common solvent used for NMR analysis. It is used because most compounds will dissolve in it, it is volatile and therefore easy to get rid of, and it is non-reactive and will not exchange its deuterium with protons in the molecule being studied. It is also "silent" in the NMR and will not show peaks to interfere with the analysis of the compound of interest. However, whenever CDCl3 is used as an NMR solvent, a small singlet is always observed at 7.26 delta. What is this peak due to????

Or is our solar system just one of millions of solar systems in the universe that were all created upon the creation of the universe? Therefore the Sun is not the center of the universe.

Natural science has been helping us a lot and we can say besides enabling us to develop the human technology by it we underestand the outer world of us,the outer space and our environment.but nowadays what I really would like to know is what it can give the indivisual ,studying it, helping them to know innerside of ourselves, approaching to god.

I appreciate the one answering my question in advance and ask them to give a bit information about themselves if they dont mind starting from myself; i am a 17 year old body studying in physics and mathematical science.

What do industrial engineers do?

2007-01-25 17:34:12 · 6 answers · asked by formystudies3 1 in Engineering

We just moved out of a 6,000 sqft industrial bldg and still get $65 monthly electric bill for a building that is unoccupied with no inside or outside lights left on. There is a 3 phase voltage transformer (480V-208V/120V) in the building that makes a constant humming noise that makes me think it is using electricity 24/7. Does this account for the rather high electric bill for an empty building? Occasionally real estate people will show the bldg to prospective tentants, so we leave the master power switch on for them to see inside. If the master switch is turned off, would this stop the power usage and end the ridiculous bills? Any suggestions?

Thank you.

I'm doin a project to produce silver impregenated activated carbon.finish the production in 50 minutes but now it takes 3hours which is a loss.
This is the whole thing!
We put 6 canisters inside the chaimber filled with activated carbon and inside of it we mix silver nitrate solution(40% of the weight of the carbon) and mix it before heating it.We have 6 L.P gas burners inside the chaimber and we want to heat it for 450 degrees. We were planning to get rid of the steam within 20 minutes(practically it takes 2 hours) .So i need to find a method to increase the heat transfer rate inside the chaimber and maintain a steady temperature of 450degrees.
If we could get rid of the steam from 6 canisters(length of a canister is 700mm) within 30 minutes we are done. But how? know only 2 methods
1.By drying the mixture outside and do the pyrolysis process inside the chaimber.
2.finding a method to transfer heat uniformly inside the canister

Let me tell you that I've been working on this for some time (alot) without any luck and it's starting to piss me off. I think there is a combination of substitution and integration by parts for this problem:

integral( (x^5)cos(x^3) )
