A rock dropped into still water sends out concentric ripples. If the radius of the outer ripple increases at the rate of 2ft/s, how fast is the area of the disturbed surface increasing when it is 6 ft in diameter?

The answer is 12pi ft/s^2. Can anyone show me how to get this answer? Help will be appreciated.

lets consider a 1cm^2 vacumn, its just natural that it tends to fill itself, tht is, it tries to bring the nearby materials into it...

now before bigbang, when there was nothing, only vacum, the same force would be trying to pull things in, but there wouldn't be anything around... but then the energy which pulls it in still exists...

so its proved that energy can be converted into matter, so tht energy might have created the matter for the bigbang..

THIS IS JUST A THEORY, PLZ LET ME KNOW IF U C ANY FLAW (i'm aware that the entire theory might be a flaw, bt why can't this have happened?)

A friend has a brilliant idea that would require computer programming and/or engineering to produce (something neither of us has a clue about). It is not a game but a serious business tool that he has found a need for and roughly designed. Can this idea be sold directly to a company or does somebody have to do a working prototype before marketing it?

Even though I like all the Star Trek movies, I think "First Contact" is the best, because it has a fantastic storyline, great sets and first class acting. I was just wondering if anyone else agrees with my views !

I followed some advice which said that u should first look at the most common default number and do that one first. Then take it in turns to fill each row, column and box with each of the numbers.

The problem is that there is usually more than one space in the little nine-box box in which the number can theoretically go without a contravention of rules, so how do I know which one to put it in?

I usually just put it in any box which the rules allow but then I find towards the end of the game that the final 2 or 3 numbers cannot possibly go in the empty boxes which are left because doing so breaks the rules. As a result I have never been able to successfully complete a standard 9x9 grid.

I'm sure this is a common problem which everybody has encountered (and I am a fairly logically-minded person) but please can somebody tell me 'the trick' of how to overcome this.

I will give you 10 points and choose u as the best answer if you give me the best tip which works.
