no they cant live without air.they need CARBONDIOXIDE IN AIR TO MAKE THEIR FOOD.they also need atmospheric nitrogen as well.

No they cant. Plants make their own food through a process called photosynthesis. In order to do this, they need carbon dioxide from the air.
