The energy goes into heath only. No kinetic energy generated.
Because the friction between the rock and the ground could not be overcome.

The energy goes back to you. In essence the rock pushes back.

If you exert force but no distance is traversed, then no work is done. However, since the 'push' exerted by your muscles is caused by a chemical reaction, energy will still be converted to heat.
