Lets say they are smashing Protons..How do they start the process of getting the protons moving around the track..and how exactly are they kept moving

In circular accelerators it all depends on the dipole magnets. Basically there are 4 magnets around a central pipe. The interaction between the 4 creates a magnetic 'pipe' as well, in which the protons travel through. Acceleration is controlled by manipulation of the magnetic field to 'push' the protons faster and faster....

According to my knowledge,this whole proses is started by using electro magnetic field generators ,and I think they are kept moving on the same principle as the maglef trains in Germany.And the whole acceleration proses is accomplished by increasing the frequency of this electro magnetic propulsion system. I may be wrong.Try to get hold of an encyclopedia,it is possible you might find a better answer with more detail therein ....
