I was reading an article by someone from New Scientist the other day and he suggested that; well if I can remember rightly; that when things are compressed to as much as they can be, very tightly, then they expand. So this is what the universe could have been. Now this experiment could be done by us on a small scale but not yet as we do not have the capability, but it is not impossible. Imagine if we put together all the minerals, gases etc that make up our universe and pact it tightly on a smaller scale, we could literally create a mini universe.

Now this is the exciting part that has had me thinking for days! Imagine if somewhere, they did do this, they had the capability to do the experiment. What if we are the experiment. What if there are literally billions of these experiments somewhere. I find it very interesting, but if the person who did the experiment was huge, could he just end our universe by emptying us down his sink!?

Anyone have any comments or further thoughts?

Or is that out of the realm of science? In theory, it can be possible but in reality is this true? Is there any advances on technology for that purpose?

Under coulomb's law, F=(1/(4π*permittivity of free space))((Q1*Q2)/r^2).
What are the units for F, Q1, Q2, r^2 and the permittivity of free space. And can someone explain the law to me. Will appreciate it very much. Thx in advance.

I have 2 questions for my Study Guide for Chemistry.

Is the Balanced Equation of Beryllium Carbonte + Sulfuric Acid:
BeCO2 + H2SO4 --> H2Co3 + BeSO4 ?

And how many atoms of carbon are present in 5.3 L of CO2?
5.3/22.4 = # Mols of CO2, but how do I figure out atoms (I know how to convert to molecules)?

What causes it? Every day, all day.. at work.. (yes there is carpet, but I don't drag my feet when I walk), every single time, no matter what shoes I have on, I get shocked when I touch things like doorknobs, filing cabinets, copy machine.. even other people. There are some times when I can even see the arc when I am putting a key in the keylatch... This is every day.. and it don't seem to happen to anybody else. I remember as a kid, we would drag our feet on the carpet and touch someone just to shock them.. but this is different because I am actually trying hard not to drag my feet.. what is up with that? Any input???
