What are the individual channel allocations for HD TV, i.e. Ch4 uses frequency A to B.

And how does that allocation change from analog to digital transmission.

Also a break down of frequency between A and B, i.e. A1 audio side band, but not limited to analog sidebands.

I told him I'd find him this info but my searches are not getting anything beyond the range assigned to the entire HD spectrum. Can anyone help me find these individual station allocations? Thanks!

I'm currently involved in an online argument (www dot youtube dot com/watch?v=lA0bKRKQZtk )

I think that it is reasonable to think that the universe (or multiverse) could be eternal.

My online opponent thinks that the time of the universe is finite because of the big bang and that it is irrational to propose an eternal one.

Am I possibly right? or am I totally wrong? What do contemporary cosmologists think?

The above questions obviously parks to one side pedantic things like whether travelling at or faster than the speed of light is possible.

Why do magnets float above a certain temprature? I don't remember what the specific temperature was but it's around minus...... a lot, freezing cold.

We're kind of stuck in the rut of travelling by rocket power and then effectively sling shotting off planetary gravity so we can explore our own system - at least by probe - but how could we travel to other stars? Even achieving light speed would mean multiple years to get to a near star and at that speed; you just couldn't navigate and avoid random collisions etc. If you have a piece of paper and want to know what's the quickest way from one edge to the other - the answer would be to fold the paper so that both points meet so I'm thinking the answer to my question is linked to this somehow. Therefore, how could you create a situation where you could effectively manipulate physics to get from a to b instantly - I don't mean teleportation I mean exploiting physics and / or proving and then harnassing something like the multiverse theory? I guess the way to describe it would be like the film Contact with Jodie Foster - the way she travlled was some kind of wormhole that was plotted.

I've always wondered if this has ever been tried. If I only had the money to get the parts needed I think it would be a fun to try although I bet you folks will tell me right off the bat that it's a matter of watts output or something I'm overlooking. My idea is to jump start a generator with a gas powered motor or battery pack and use an electric motor to turn a generator motor. I would like to know if anyone has actually tried this... I know if it is possible it should be out there already but hey sometimes its the simple ideas that get overlooked... but in general I know this is wishful thinking.

if a photon of light is massless, how can the force of gravity alter the path of light? eg: light passing in the vicinity of a black hole would bend at an angle which is proportional to the black hole gravitational field. does'nt something needs to have mass to be affected by the force of gravity?
