I played an adventure game as a child where a puzzle was solved involving opening an envelope without ripping it; it was put in a microwave with a jar of water, and it opened.

Then, I got a e-mail forward of random tips saying an incorrectly sealed envelope can be opened by putting it in a freezer.

I haven't actually tried doing ANY of these, but from experience, can any of you tell me whether this actually works (*any* of these methods)?

We have a little bit here (Kansas), but the icey roads are the worst and I hate driving in it or on it. It's pretty to look at though.

Please state the solution if you want.
1) A child glued together 42 cubes with 1 cm edges to form a solid rectangular brick. i fthe perimeter of the base is 18 cm, what is the height of the brick?

Here's another geometry related question:
2) How many segments have their endpoints that are vertices of a cube?

Out of 100 items, that's the only two things I do not understand and all of them are geometry related. Please explain your answer. thank you, I really wanna ace this one to cover up my quite average grades back then.

...or other researcher teams -- I am researching it for a possible book-length work, and would like to touch upon husband/wife teams historically as well as several today, such as the Korean team (Prof. Hong Jeong-ho at MIT and Prof. Hwang Eun-sook at Harvard, I think) that made progress in adult stem cell research; as well as some duos in my homestate of Arizona. Do you know of any such "teams" -- where it's more than one partner supporting the other; it's a life passion for them both? I'm making sure to include historic examples, so cite those if you like, but I'd really like some current ones.
