When you get a call or make a call from the handphone, there are a large amount of Electro magnetic waves around your phone. These waves have a lot of energy and might cause sparking in the air (although tiny sparks and sometimes hardly visible). This poses danger when you are in vicinity of flammable liquids as there are flammable vapours in the air. Therefore using handphone in such an environment causes a fire hazard

not even in case of highly flammable solvents even in case of Hydroxy normal paraffin, D-SOL and perfumes etc.


the electro-magnetic rediations can generate STATIC CURRENT.

Though it is not only mobile phones, but even compressed gas can cause frictional electricity which can result in fire hazards.

There is a remote possibility of a spark being generated. So why take the chance of a fire. This is really a stupid question.

the battery could send sparks
or if you receive a call when u r in there, the antenna could generate a static current

the batteries can get very hot and if eventally can get on spark.
