A force of 50lbs is directed 50 degrees above horizontal, pointing to the right. Determine its horizontal and vertical components.

I dont know where to begin. If you can help me out, that would be fantastic.

In this particular section of this book, we just learned that:

a . b = IIaII IIbII cos theta

IIaII = Sqrt (a1^2, a2^2, a3^2)

Projection of a onto b (P) = [(a . v)/ IIaII^2] * a

Thanks for any ideas.

Well IM reducing it and the book says it changes from x^2(X+3)-2(X+3)/(X+3)(X^2-3X+9) to (x^2-2)/(X+3)(X^2-3X+9). PLease help me It may not make sense but IM seriously stuck.

Use property one sqrt(ab) = sqrt(a) * sqrt (b)

to solve this problem with out using a calulator

sqrt50

and

sqrt72x^3

and finally

using property 2

sqrt(a/b) = sqrt(a) / sqrt(b)

to solve the following problem

sqrt 10/49

sry if these don't work out perfectly as i'm making them up in my head. so pretty much, the question is how do you find the domain, range, and vertical/& horizontal asymptotes?

all i know is that if the degree is same in the numerator and the denominator then to find the horizontal asymptote just divide the leading coefficient in the numerator by the leading coefficient in the denominator. to find the vertical asymptote, set teh denominator to zero. but these only works if the degree is the same in both the numerator and denominator. what about if the degrees are different?

b) how would you also find the domain and range of exponential problems? like (1/5)(5^x)=y

If not then during cell multiplication how do identical chromosomes (carrying same genetic information) from different parents come close together for exchange of genetic information?

2007-01-11 16:24:26 · 3 answers · asked by akhilesh v 2 in Biology

In nature we find that different species have different number of chromosomes. It can be argued (at least theoretically) that the same genetic information could have been stored on a single chromosome strand; why then in nature we find multiple chromosomes. It is obvious that it makes the structure more compact, but does it make multiple chromosomes more efficient than a single strand allowing multiple cross over (for exchange of genetic information during cell multiplication)?
