this question is a vector question.
In scalar product it is written"a.b cos(theta)" and in cross product it is written"a x b sin(theta)".
My question is ,in scalar product why "cos(theta)" is used? why not "sin(theta)" is used?
Also,in cross product why "sin(theta)" is used?why not "cos(theta)" is used?
Tell me reasons.

Lead metal is added to .100 M Cr(3+) (aq). What are [Pb(2+)], [Cr(2+)], and [Cr(3+)] when equilibrium is established in the reaction?

Reaction:

Pb(s) + 2Cr(3+)(aq) <----> Pb(2+)(aq) + 2Cr(2+)(aq)

Kc = 3.2E-10

note: (s), etc is states, (2+), etc is oxidation number, or ion

Would someone tell me how to do this problem? I want to know the steps. Thank you.

I'd like to know more about black holes, stars, systems... the whole organization of everything, the way it all works. I've been so curious, and your answers can give me starting points to research the basics. I am interested in reading the theories of Einstein and Stephen Hawking, but if I don't start at the beginning, I'll never undersand what I'm reading! :-)
