Monkeys in zoos may throw feces. They do so because they have learned that it causes big reactions from the monkeys watching them from outside their cages. It not a behavior that occurs in the wild.

Yes they do; damn good aim too! I was at the Toledo zoo with my daughter tossing the monkeys peanuts. When we ran out of food the one monkey picked up a turd and nailed me good. I was cussing and looking for some ammo before I realized how dumb it was. My kid loved it and hasn't forgotten yet.

They do throw their excrement when they are angry. In fact, there was a publicized event of it where "Kubie" a 14 year old western lowland gorilla threw excrement at Boston politicians and made news headlines in January of 2002. LOL

Yes they do, went to the zoo once with my sister, and a gorilla pick up some and hit her in the head with it, sorry I found it quite amuzing.
