ok so me and my friend were tinkering with a firecracker, i was looking at it closely when a pice of the red powder went into my eye (very painful) and every time i would blink it was worse. so my friend had some eye drops he emptied the bottle of its original contents, put some water in it along with some dissolved street cocaine (anesthetic) and told me to put some in my eye. and as you can imagine with the pain i had, i did not hesitate. it got rid of the pain and later i flushed my eyes with water to got rid of the red little rock that fell in. NOW my question is, was my friend just trying to get me high or triying to help the pain. can you even get high with cocaine in your eyes, if so would it show up in a drug test? NO IM NOT A COKEHEAD

I broke a mercury thermometer outside (fell on a rock). It is an elemental merc thermometer with the silvery fluid. Afterwards, just by being near it, my shirt, etc. had a nasty chemical smell. I know that mercury is odorless, and dangerous, so what was the smell and how dangerous is it? i thought it might be the other clear liquid that is in there with the merc. Anyway, it is extremely strong and i definitely inhaled it. Any thoughts on a) what other chemical solutions are in there with the elemental mercury? b) how dangerous are those solutions? c) how to clean that up the non-mercury elements, if necessary? thanks!!!!

If you are, what did you study during college? Did you want to be a doctor the moment you got into college, or did something happen that made you to switch your original major? How was med school? What kind of doctor are you? How long did it take you to be the kind of doctor you are? what is your salary? Is it a stable job? are you happy with your choice? if not, what do you wish you majored in instead?
I'm struggling about majors. I'm thinking about doing a pre-med program, but i have no idea what it is like? How did you know that you want to be a doctor in the first place? what kind of motivation did you have? Is it a satisfactory profession?
serious answer please
thanks

I've recently read a discussion on evolution, and find it very interesting.

I've come to conclusion, I'm for evolution, after all, there are facts/proof evolution is what started this world/universe. It all started with one cell. How did that cell get here?

If anyone could help me understand this, please do =)

a.) The work done by gravity

I know you don't need all that info for that but you did for parts b,c, and d which are not shown because I solved them already

Haha..sorry I accidentally posted this in the hockey section.
