I've looked into this extensively, and although many sites say that there ARE A FEW commercial suppliers, I cannot find one. It is apparently used on old watch hands. I just think it would be an interesting sample to own...very unique. Thanks for the help.

Ok Take the following facts:

Nominal Resistance = 360 Ohms
Tolerance = 5%
Maximum Permissible Resistance = 378 Ohms
Minimum Permissible Resistance = 342 Ohms

Now Assuming the resistor above is rated at 2 watts, what is the maximum continuous Voltage that can be placed across the resistor without causing it to overheat?

How do we find this?
