I know that common practice is to place a base course material (rough aggregate) down before placing bituminous asphalt. What would be the outcome (or potential problem) with re-paving over a trench after placing a sand-cement slurry and no base course?

I need help answering these 3 questions based on biology and plasmids.

1. Just mixing your insulin gene and plasmid DNA w/ sticky ends may temporarily result in a new plasmid, but it is being held together by weak hydrogen bonds. What enzyme do you need to add in order to make ur new plasmid a solid circle of DNA?

6. What is the purpose of using plasmids with antibiotic resistance in them?

7. Why were no restriction enzyme tested that would produce bunt ends instead of sticky ends?

According to Mendel's first law, allels A and a of a particular gene segregate fromo each other and appear in equal number among the gamates. But Mendel did not know that his plants were diploid. Let us assume that Mendel's plants were teraploid(4N), that evrey gamete contains two alleles, and that the distribution of alleles to gametes is random. Suppose we have a cross of AAAA*aaaa, where A is dominant, regardless of the number of a alleles present in an individual.

The question are:

a)what will b ethe genotype of the F1 peas?

b) If the F1 peas are selfed, what will be the phenotypic ratio in the F2?(Hint: label the four allels to produce the gametes, then predict the frequency of each type of gametes)

please help and explain..thank you..=)

Assume you have a building that is 150 meters high. If the density of air remains constant, what is the difference in atmospheric pressure between the ground floor and the ceiling of the building?

I'm not too sure how to go about doing this as my notes are limited and searching for an equation online has led me nowhere.
I was thinking Pair x g x h, but at the ground floor it would be 0 for the height.

Thanks!

Has anyone here done an experiment where you add MgO to HCl in a calorimeter or coffee cup calorimeter? If you have, did you have to record the temperature every 30 seconds or minute? If you did, do you know how much the temperature should go down every minute? Because I did it and it only went down like 0.1 seconds every minute. Is that too little?

What did you get for heat of reaction?
