Most of us have noticed when you place a brick or heavy object on the bare ground that it slowly sinks into the ground, over time. It would seem to me that the earth is a giant sponge in a constant cycle of absorbing itself from the inside out. We know we have a reasonable history of mankind of 7-8 thousand years, we have some fossils that date even further but that's not my point. Is it possible that the earth has been swallowing up the history of man for 10's of thousand if not millions or billions of years. Could it be that we now are just in one of possible millions of evolutions or cycles of the earth. Could it be that there was once very soficated civilizations that rivaled or even surpass's our own that destroyed themselfs etc.

What do you think?

£199 inc VAT makes the VAT £34.82
Which then means that without VAT £199 equals £164.18
But, £164.18 plus VAT = 164.18x1.175 = £192.91, not £199 !
I am confused, where is the missing £6.09 ?
