Well the real source partly depends on the distance, storage
is the prime mathematical puzzle. Second the actual use is
partnered to the amount of crew, sustenance is also critical.
You must bring a full cooking, refrigeration and resting system.
Air conditioning must be generated from a living source and
all temperature controls must be foolproof. Also fashions and
apparel must be properly designed for easy breathing, and
light work loads, as well as social family property. The ship is
going to be 2500 square feet like a house for each 5 people if
the flight is more than a year, only 25% is minimum required
for very short flights of 30 days or so. The hull is to be in one
of two schools of construction one is vulcan iron class 20 to 24
and wave complimentary to aluminum mound glass steels of
value 10-15 this combination 20 plus to 45 major supports is
within the demands of holding the shell in tact. The shell and
air, heat, materials living quarters must be of titanium plus or
recent magnettetrox romulean proportionates making it simular
to greenhouses, and storage systems on the planet. This will
assure comprehensions of weight that are acceptable to the
active mind. Sensor adjustment equipment now will help to
simulate pleasant environments to help stabilize nerve status
and give a standstill effect on the working crews, + socializers.
Then we enter complexities of duties, many various engines,
support equipments, farm equipments, mining, teaching, radar,
home signal must be brought and protected in a shielded room
of neutroniums that is like highway supply store for good steady
storage prime objectives. Rugs would be live skin treated for
environment niceties of simulations of heavenly fields, beaches,
and so on. Many fine points in that area would be recommends.
Engines would be photon class that could recycle air, add heat,
all momentums at 30 milliion miles a day high speed. Now the
distance of any known star would be within the map systems.
Also I would want MTV, sirius, and maybe a music studio. The
shuttle is very like the fleet ships, please take a look. There
would have to be a 6 month orientation class to get ready.

I would contract with whoever manufacturers cubit zirconia and have the nose cone made of this material and the rest of the fuselage made of tile impregnated with kevlar. For an engine I would have a nuclear fired steam fanjet as one load of fuel would last a natural life time and longer.

Hi. I would use fiber based on carbon nanotubes for the living chambers (light and tough) and CF reinforced wire for the hydrogen gas collector antenna (for the fuel).
