albescens mutation in palm produces white mesocarp when ripe, rather bright orange when ripe, which occurs in the wild type fruit. fruit with white mesocarp crossed with fruit with orange mesocarp. fruits harvested from one tree after 3 years are all red. 500 red: 0 white. What does this suggest about inheritance of the albescens trait? selving red produces ratio of 3 red: 1 white. what conclusion can be made about genetype of original parents for this trait?
