Well the above answers are zero if the equation is interpreted as y=half x plue 3.
However there are other ways to see it. For example if x is under the fraction (1 divided by 2 times x)

[y=1/2x+3]
so
(2x+3)y=1
y is 3 so
6x+3=1
x=-0.3333333333

OR
[y=1/2x+3]
y is 3 so
3-3 = 0 = 1/2x
so x is infinity.

I expect this won't help with your homework though, but it might confuse the teacher.

y = 1/2x + 3 and y = 3
therefore
3 = 1/2x + 3
minus three from both sides gives:
0 = 1/2x
therefore x has to equal 0 aswell

x would be 0 because if any number times 0 = 0 then 1/2 times 0 = 0 so 0+3= 3

x=0 but it's not strictly speaking correct because you can't have 1/2 of 0 so could be infinity. Depends what level of Maths you are dealing with here. If you are at school, go with x=0.
