How high would their diving block be? It can't be the same height to maintain the same angle. How do I figure this out?

If I went back in time and killed my younger self, what would happen. I would no longer exist in the future and therefore would be unable to go back in time to kill myself. But if I dont go back in time to kill my other self then I will continue to exist, and therefore able to go back in time to kill my younger self. Anyone else a bit confused?
