Given that one object is 78 kg and the other is 103 kg; the two objects are in contact and at rest on a horizontal surface; a 733 N force is exerted on the 78 kg object.... I know the formula is F of mass 2 on mass 1 = F - force of friction - ma, but I can't find the force of friction.... can someone show me the light?

There are only TWO DENOMINATIONS of bills...

There will be NO LESS THAN 10 Bills in one of the denominations...

One of the denominations is NOT A $1

When making a batch of the mertial, you must add the proper amount of a .36 M sodium sulfate solution to precipitate all the barium in 5.00 L of a 0.15 M barium nitrate solution. Teh reaction occurs as follows:
Na SO (aq) + Ba(NO ) (aq)----> 2 NANO (aq) +
2 4 3 2 3
BaSO (s)
4
The lower numbers go halfway between the letters.

Fred (mass 75 kg) is running with the football at a speed of 5.3 m/s when he is met head-on by Brutus (mass 120 kg), who is moving at 4.0 m/s. Brutus grabs Fred in a tight grip, and they fall to the ground. How far do they slide? The coefficient of kinetic friction between football uniforms and Astroturf is 0.30.

I have:

P1 = (75)(5.3) = 397.5
P2 = (120)(-4.0) = -480

Total Momentum System: 5.3m - 4.0m = 0.7m

I am lost as to where to go from there. Do I need the sum of forces in the x-direction?

Thanks
