using the principle of fluid pressure explain how a medicine dropper works. Another question: what is the effect of increased water depth on a scuba diver?

I will be honest I only know part of the answer but here's what i know...

fluid pressure increases with depth because there is more fluid on top of it thus more weight and it casues compression (pressure)
and thats about all I can expalin

Not much to do with fluid P in an eyedropper

Water depth is proportional to the external pressure on the diver. Ergo, his breathing device must supply air at increased pressure to inflate his lungs, which would otherwise be collapsed by the water P

Each increment of water depth has to support the weight of all those above it.

For a scuba diver increased depth illustrates Dalton's, Boyle's and Henry's Laws affects on gas and pressure. From a diver's perspective, here are the common issues to content with:

1. Amount of breathing air at depth is less than amount of available breathing air at the surface.

2. Lung expansion injuries if the diver holds his/her breath on ascent.

3. Decompression sickness because of the dissolved nitrogen into the body if the diver fails to follow proper dive plan and ascent procedures.

4. Nitrogen narcosis and oxygen toxicity. The partial pressures of the gases increase at depth and at certain depths, the gases have negative affects on the human body. For example, you can breath pure oxygen on land, but at 30' depth, breathing pure 02 can cause seizures.

wouldn't the pressure of fluid in a medicine dropper be via how the person squeezed and released the bulb or via suction? Air pulling the water via the force factor?
