Statistically are there are more AUTO-accidents shown to be occuring when it is dark out. I mean people drive to work and well the majority drives at what hours? And so we would want it light, right? If it was not for this SAFETY ISSUE I would NOT be in favor of doing the clock change thing ~ except for this SAFETY reason alone I guess I DO FAVOR THE CLOCK CHANGE. Changing the clock does not change how many hours of light or dark you have in a 24 hour period it just shifts when you have the light or dark hours. There is something "mystical" about how the "DARKNESS CALLS the LIGHT", and when you change the clocks sometimes we miss that.....
BUT HEY ; Safety first Mysticism LATER.
we just have to make some adjustments.

1) In an accelerated physics clas, student #1 climbs a ladder and drops a steel ball from the ceiling. Srudent #2, using a stopwathc, times the fall of the ball fro mthe ceiling to the flor with a time of 1.5 s. What is the height of the room?

My answer : x = 0(1.5) + 1.5^2(9.8)/2-----> [11.025 m]

2) A woman is reported to have fallen 44 m from the 17th floor and to have landed on a metal ventilator box, crushing it 46 cm.

a)What is the velocity of the woman before she collids with the box?

b) What is the acceleration or deceleration while in contact with the box?

c) How long did it take her to crush the box?

My answer : (a) Vf^2 = 9.8(2)(44)------>862.4---->[Vf = 29.36 m/s]

(b) ???????
(c) -29.36^2 + 2(a)(46)------> [a = -9.37]
0 = 29.36 + -9.36 (t)------> [3.13 s]

Add up how much time the ball is rolling:

Tom rolled the ball to Suzie and it took 0.0034 seconds. Suzie put the ball on the sidewalk and rolled it for 1.11143 seconds to Billy. Billy held the ball for 5.66 seconds and threw it for 1.1 second to Phil. Phil rolled the ball around and around on the ground for 3.25988 seconds. Then he threw the ball up in the air for 0.3 seconds and when it came down it bounced for 0.1 second and then rolled down the hill for 1.89094 seconds into the open storm drain.
