Not good with fractions or math. I need the answer, but want to learn how to find out the answer.

just multiply 2/9 with 113,336.86
i.e (2*113,336.86)/9 = 25185.9688
which can be rounded off to 25185.97 (ans)

Step 2: Precede the next digit (3) with 2 to give 23
Step 3: 9 in 23 =2 (rem 5)

Step 5: 9 in 53 = 5 (rem 8)
Step 6: precede the next digit(3) with 8 to give 83
Step 7: 9 in 83 = 9 (rem 2)
Step 8: precede the next digit(6) with 2 to give 26
Step 9: 9 in 26 = 2 (rem 8)
Step 10: Gather your various answers from the first division to the last in that order to form an integer.( = 12592)
Step 11: Find the remaining decimal, say to 2 decimal points.
From step 9 above, the remainder is 8( i.e. rem 8)
The remaining decimal digits is .86( i.e 0.86)
Step 12: precede the next decimal digit(8) with rem 8 to form 88
Step 13: 9 in 88 = 9 (rem 7)
Step 14: precede the last decimal digit(6) with 7 to form 76
Step 15: 9 in 76 =8 (rem 4)

when you deal with fractions, its a multiplication and division problem all in one....
you multiply the numerator, divide the denominator
so.... 2 * 113,336.86 = 226673.72
226673.72 / 9 = 25,185.968
or 113,336.86 / 9 = 12,592.9844
12,592.9844 * 2 = 25,185.96888
either way you get the same answer .....

The math is relatively easy. Take 113,336.86 and multiply by 2 and then divide that answer by 9.

If you need to find 2/9 of anything - divide the number you're looking for 2/9 of by 9, and then multiply your answer by 2.

or divide 113,336.96 by 9 and multiply by 2.
just look at it at like 113,336.96/1, then you can put the 2 fractions together by multiplying everything on the top together and multiplying everything on the bottom together. (so 113,336.96 x 2 and 1 x 9).

113,336.86 in fraction form is 113.336.86/1
so to figure out
2/9 of 113,336.86/1, you multiply the 113,336.86 by 2 then divide the whole thing by 9
And get:
25185.968 with the 8 repeating
For those of you that came back with an answer of 2500 something, here a quick way to check your work. 2/9 is close to 2/10, or 20%. 113336.86 is close to 100,000. 20% of 100,000 is 20,000, so you know your answer is going to be more than 20,000!!!
