The distance (d) a ball will roll down an inclined plane is directly proportional to the square of time (t). If the ball rolls 20 inches in 2 seconds, how far will it roll in 5 seconds?

I kind of got stuck on this problem. I don't like word problems at all. Can some one please explain to me, how to do this problem!

Thanks a lot

I've been having a LOT of trouble with this lately. The coordinate points (A & B) are (0,-3) and (3,3). You may have to graph this on a plot.

i know that many say that it is unetical for doctors to date patients... but what if you are attracted to a patient and show signs of it towards that patient? we are only humans.. and despite the "oath" that a doctor takes .. your feelings still know no ethics, because im in a situation where my doctor is definately flirting with me, calls me on my home phone and cell phone, compliments me all of the time, and he made it an effort to mention that he was going to be at a certain place at a certain time.. it was like he is afraid to directly ask me out. but he does everything to let me know he is interested. he was all for it when i asked him to hang out with me... but then i asked him if he thought that it was unethical to him.. thats when he began the whole textbook reason why patients and doctors should not hang out.. i think i scared him... whats your take on it?

A stone has a mass of 8.0 10-3 kg and is wedged into the tread of an automobile tire, as the drawing shows. The coefficient of static friction between the stone and each side of the tread channel is 0.83. When the tire surface is rotating at 17 m/s, the stone flies out of the tread. The magnitude FN of the normal force that each side of the tread channel exerts on the stone is 1.8 N. Assume that only static friction supplies the centripetal force, and determine the radius r of the tire.

This is for chemistry and we have to define what a mole is for tomorrow's bellwork.

I know what it is, but what is a good way for a sophomore to define it? I think it'd be easier to understand with a simplier definition.

I'd prefer if you weren't immature and say something about the animal, the mole.

Thanks.
