Nexus is a trade name for a liner (they refer to it as a polyester "veil") made by Precision Fabrics Group.

"Nexus polyester veil provides UV protection and surface finish." (ref. 1)

""Enhanced Nexus" is a developmental polyester veil from Precision Fabrics Group (PFG). It gives laminates a better appearance and 20% better color yield. Higher gloss, richer color, improved fiber hiding, and a thicker resin-rich layer are claimed. It competes with spunbonded nylon and polyester, which also give good surface characteristics but are less weatherable, PFG says. The trade-off for the improved appearance of Enhanced Nexus is that the veil does not show up under uv light--an important QC test for corrosion-resistant products. That may restrict it to non-critical applications." (ref. 2)

Yes, however, unlike the myth these "blocks" are actually short round little pillars, great for garden edging as they withstand inclement weather. Warning: If ingested they can cause much harm to some and for others to lose their arrogance; causing said subjects to cease to "be full of crap", as it were.
