I'm trying to recall a "false proof" that I saw once a long time ago. First, what I mean by "false proof" is a seemingly logical set of statements that leads to an obviously false conclusion. The most famous example would be the proof that 2 = 1.

Years ago, I watched a professor develop a proof in class which resulted in "proving" that all angles were 60 degrees! But I can't remember the steps at all, not to mention where the fallacy lies. Has anyone seen this construction before?

Natural Selection? This is what we have been taught in our textbook. But there is not a shred of proof out there (Can you show me proof?). Just because it is the BEST explanation doesn't make it true. I won't accept it.

Some will say it just makes sense. But really? How much of it is "making sense" and how much of it is indoctrination by our schoolteachers?

Best proof of natural selection or best alternative gets best answer. You cannot use a religious text as proof.

I always thought they were concaved, but when you look at them as convexed, they dont look like craters at all, they look like huge rocks/ meteorites that are protruding from the ground.
I noticed this long ago, but just remembered whilst looking at some pics.

Take a look at this pic on the ESA (European Space Agency) website, make sure you zoom in on it when its downloaded, this ones about 2 meg>

What is the difference between the two? I have worked as a carpenter for many years and tired of going nowhere. I was thinking about taking classes to become a civil engineering technician, but I am not sure if that is the same thing as a carpenter labor? I would hate to spend thousands of dollars to do the same job. Any information about this career field would be greatley appreciated. Thanks

Also truck traveling with an initial speed of 33.0ft/s accelerates until it reaches a speed of 77.0ft/s if the acceleration is 4.00ft/s2 how much time is required to reach final speed. I think the answer to 2nd one is 11 sec. however I am not sure I set the problem up right or used correct formula.Note: an answer won't do me any good if I don't know how to solve one like it in the future. Also, if you wanted to know your weight on the moon, would you take your weight in pounds X 9.80 and then divide by 1/6?
