starch is a complex carbohydrate and is made up of cellulose.

so, the answer would definitely be A. and im pretty confident of that.

well, that's my guess cause that was what i was taught in school.

Starch is a Complex carbohydrate made up of the simple sugar, Dextrose.
IE if you boil starch with acid it will hydrolyse to dextrose.
Plants store 'energy' as starch as it has a minimal effect on the osmotic pressure in their cells - go figure!
