Water feels wet because it is highly evaporative. When you get out the shower, you feel cold even on a warm day because the water starts evaporating imeediately. Evaporation sucks heat out of you.

That is what feels wet.

I have bathed in persian Gulf on a humid day, when water temperature is near skin temperature. If you walk very slowly so as not to splash and close your eyes, you cannot tell when you are in ankle deep water. That is because there is no evaporation and the water is not cooling you at all.

Then water does NOT feel wet.

For me, it was a trip to the Cascades where I got to hike to the top and INSIDE Mt. St. Helens. It was amazing to see lots of strange springs and shear cliffs in material my age. Death Valley, Italy, and Glacier NP were also great. Anyone else been on great trips? What did you see?

If someone has time travelled, then they would have already gone back in time and accidentally altered the timeline whether they meant it or not. Discuss!

I live on a moutain in the french pyrenees and I quite often I am hearing a vibration or "hum" which varies in intensity and comes and goes.I hear it near my house and in many locations on the mountain.Sometimes it is intense and feels like it is a bee buzzing around my head. Most people cant hear it at all only occasionally does somene else hear it but so far never at the same intensity as me!
The mountain is exremely quiet and we are a long way from roads and industry etc.I can only think that maybe the mountain is vibrating or making some noise for some reason.

I have already asked this question but I did not get satisfying answers. I want to know why the colour of darkness, which is a situation where there is no light, is always black. So, according to this, when there is no light falling on an object, the object appears dark in colour. But how come we can see black things, like your black hair on your head or your black bag. As far as I know light is falling on these objects as I see them, but I can see them black. So why do we see black when there is darkness and we do not see darkness as brown or white or any other colour except black. Can anyone tell me please??

the question is asking which element out of Hydrogen and Oxygen is responsible for water's polarity. my book doesn't clearly answer the question, but i'm thinking the electronegativity of oxygen is what makes water polar.

My husband underwent an abdominoplasty mid June 2006. He was okay, and then the first two weeks, a lot of liquid was oozing out of his stitches, which we were told is quite normal. Then on the right side of his stomach the wound opened up and it was really gross to look at it. Then again we were told that there is a large collection of liquid (i think its protein, or some kind of thing that comes through when the fats all gone in between the skin and muscles) so he has to be taken in for another session of emptying thecollection. Again, in mid July he was taken in and we were told that the collection has been removed, and he is okay. Now though he was healing, again on the right side, the skin was opening up, and this time it was some infection, which we were treating him with antibiotics. and the opening was becoming yellow in color, and again, he was taken in a third time in August last week saying all the dead skin will be cut, and he would heal faster..September mid, we complete 3
