place 4 different numbers in the bubbles at the vertices of the pyramid so that the two numbers at the ends of each edge or diagonal add up to the number on that edge---the picture shows a square like a base ball field. Home would be B first base A second D and third C. There`s a line that meets from B to D running vertical with the number 53 and a line from A to C running horizontal with the number 44. The number between A anb B is 56, the number between B and C is 60, the number between C and D is 41, the number between D and A is 36.

Does the water level IN THE POOL go up, down, or stay the same.

This is one of my all time favorite physics questions. Robert Oppenheimer got it wrong. You must justify your answer for credit. First one wins 10.

You can take this in the biblical sense, as in the apocalypse or armageddon, or as in an asteriod or biological plague for example, wiping 90% of us out. Even if 5 nuclear bombs go off, Id say that qualifies, even though of course there will still be people somewhere on earth.

let bar of xn and s^2 denote the sample mean and variance for the sample x1,...., xn and let bar of xn+1 and s^2n+1 denote these quantities when an additional observation xn+1 is added to the sample.
a) show how bar of xn+1 be computed from bar of xn and xn+1.
b) show that ns^2n+1=(n-1)s^2n + (n/(n+1))(Xn+1- bar of Xn)^2 so that s^2n+1 can be compared from xn+1, bar of Xn and S^2n

I am going to creat a wall display of animal skeltons indicating how many bones are in the animal, I need to know where to download skeletal animal pictures from and how to find out the number of bones in the animal, this is for holloween wall display in a radiology dept of a hospital, I want to creat a fun way of celebrating holloween and a leaning experience at the same time. any animals would be fine. I don't have the funds to purchase items to display it must be something I can print from the web. we will have school children (classrooms) tour the hospital and instead of scary I am looking for informational, fun and holloweenie.
