Have scientists ever calculated a number? I'm just curious as to how many people have ever lived, since the beginning of man, up until now.

In their pursuits: the transmutation of other metals into gold and elixir of life, alchemists not only paved the foundation to Chemistry but also infused the dynamism for its rapid growth. Could there be any second thought over this?

...to go into the station and unload. while i was sitting there i saw a light. it was black and they are all around the station. i wanted to touch it. so i reached over and made contact with it. at the same instant i was shocked. i mean. electricity. tons of it. right through my finger into my body. it hurt like hell and my whole arm was numb for like 5 minutes. so my question is, why did i get shocked?

I am building a commuter boat with two engines for cruising across a large harbour (5 miles wide). To make my first prototype, I was thinking about buying two identical canoes, connecting them with a platform, keep about 1m of space between them, and put two seats onto the platform. Speed would be about 10 knots max, and the water quite still (harbour). The boat's upper body will be a tent tarp over fibreglass rods, like an igloo tent. Will that cruise and maneuver OK, or am I going to be in trouble?
Thanks.

Hi, I'm going into AP physics this year, and I know this may sound like a beginner question to some...but I have to know for sure.

When I first learned D vs T graphs and then learned to draw them into V vs T and then A vs T, I was using straight slopes. However, AP physics presents the lines as curved. If the D vs T graph has curves in it, will the V vs T and A vs T graphs have curves in them as well?

My thousands digit is the first that is perfect.but if you're not happy with that,it's also the product of the first two primes, according to my precocious cat.
My units digit is the odd of those primes, and if you look at it and my tens, you'll find a number divisible by three, but not by the square of that, friends.
Now let's look at my hundreds and thousands. If you examine those two as they're paired, you'll find they form a divisible by an even prime that's been squared.
Now let's look at my body in whole.Five different dights you see,in order (or not) you'll find that they are divisible by nine, yes siree!
Can you find the mystery number?
