In their pursuits: the transmutation of other metals into gold and elixir of life, alchemists not only paved the foundation to Chemistry but also infused the dynamism for its rapid growth. Could there be any second thought over this?

For sure you are right, but alchemists at the same time brought others to confusion.

Chemistry was there before Alchemists. They were making medicines, magic potions etc.The Alchemists believed in the theory that all metals can be changed in to Gold. But they faiiled. But chemical research and analysis progressed as a by product of Alchemists.Perhaps metullargy owes its orgin to alchemists, not all branches of chemistry.
Alchemists in fact had given a wrong direction to chemical research by going after gold.

I agree, I think overall it added more than it detracted through leading scientists on a wild goose chase.

Also I have solved alchemy, to make gold first start with a super massive nebula of hydrogen gas. Then using gravitational force condense it to the critical mass of nuclear fusion. Then depending on how big the star is (shorter for bigger stars, longer for smaller stars) wait for millions to billions of years. As the star goes nova or supernova collect the fruits of your effort, gold, as it speeds past you at thousands of miles an hour.

Absolutely...actually, alchemists made a lot of chemical discoveries through serendipity.

Indeed ... in the same way that early astrology paved the way for astronomy (e.g. identifying and charting planets, naming stars and constellations, recording comets, monitoring lunar and solar cycles, etc.) ... the two were once indistinguishable.
