It depends upon the amount of radiation in the material. If it is a lot, you will die rather quickly. If is a little, you could die from cancer or other similar disease many years from the time you drank the water.

It is best to drink water from safe sources, then you should not have to worry about this ever happening.

you get an increased risk of cancer, and with enough, you can die from radiation poisoning/sickness.
