I have a vine that came up voluntarily and looks like a watermelon vine. It has produced small fruits from yellow flowers that look like watermelons except they're covered with stickers. Is this a watermelon or a thorny weed?

I've come to understand that in fission, the nucleus of an atom such as U-238 splits, and some mass is converted into energy, which brings Einstein's famous equation into play. But what mass is converted into energy exactly?

Also, with fusion, I've come to understand that two atoms such as deuterium collide with incredible force and their nucleii basically fuse to create a heavier element such as helium. But is there mass loss in that reaction as well? Where exactly does the energy come from in that fusion?

This summer my honors physics teacher assigned us a chapter to learn over the summer. Well, I get the lesson fairly well, but when it comes for me to answer the questions at the end of a section, I get confused. It seems like the questions don't have ANYTHING to do with the was taught. If you can help me, please send me an e-mail or respond here. I don't want someone to do my homework for me, just to tell me where I have been going wrong with the problems.
The topic right now is velocity and constant acceleration on a 2D plane.
THANKS :)

Q) A teenager is mugged for his expensive, size 9, trainers by a white man. A white suspect from the same city is arrested wearing a pair of similar trainers.

There were 200 pairs of these size 9 trainers sold in the city. There are approximately 200,000 white males in the city.

a) Express the posterior odds of the suspect being guilty in terms of the prior odds.

b) If the prior odds are taken to be 1/200,000, what are the posterior odds of guilt?

c) What is the posterior probability of guilt?

I am currently reading The Origin of Species, and I noticed Darwin did not provide a single reference of a bibiography. Why is this? He said something about not having space, but is that really a good reason? Does he give references anywhere else for this book? Or for his other books for that matter...
