People have interbred related species for generations (Like a mule is a cross between a horse and a donkey.).

Scientists have also created a green, glow in the dark rabbit by taking genes from a jellyfish and inserting them into the rabbit (so you can find your pet in the dark).

in the wild certain birds with cross breed...two different species of warbler, or two different buntings. And Tigons and Ligers.
