I guess that would depend on the amount of water and the surface the water was applied to. A flat, dull or absorbent surface would be quite slow. A smooth clean slick surface, such as glass would be much quicker as it would roll down rather than absorb into the surface. HMM Got ya thinkin' now didn't I!

You Said in mph i.e Miles per Hour .... but it cant be...Bcoz Acceleration cant be in mph... it is unit of Velocity....
and the acceleration would be appx. 4.7meters/sec sq.
ie slightly less than "1/2 g" bcoz of Friction and viscosity
