I read that it happened about 10 billion years ago but it doesn't make sense to my feeble intellect. What exploded? Why? Is the universe expanding? How big is it now and how do we know? Could we see the big bang if we had a powerful enough telescope? Am I stupid?

I found first one inside my home, also second one. Third I saw outside in my back yard. Several days between each one seen. It really looks like the red head of an ant. Total body size about half inch. body has the markings of a bee with yellow and black stripes. Yet differs from the shape of a bee. I've lived in this house 17 years and NEVER have seen anything like this. I've researched types of ants,bees,earwigs and others. I cannot figure this out. If anyone else has any ideas let me know. Or if you know what it is, please send me an email. thanks!

I'm writing a book, and two characters are going to a place in Orlando that's private and in a natural setting, but I haven't decided yet. I'm thinking it could be a stream or a small lake, but I'm not sure if they have streams in Orlando, or if any of the lakes are small. Even if they do have these things, are any of these places relatively private, or do all of them have a lot of people? If they fit that description, what is the name of the place? I know how to complete the square of a formula to find its roots, or zeroes. I am having difficulty doing the same for cube formulas. The specific question I'm stuck on is:
x^3 - 15x +1 =0 has 3 answers, but I have no idea about how to find the answers.
I know I could just graph it on my calculator, but I need to show my work. Any help would be much appreciated.
