Trying to Conceive - March 2007

I wish to get pregnant but I'm still breastfeeding and my spouse doesn't want me to wean my baby until I get pregnant, so is it possible I get pregnant while breastfeeding? Does my breastfeeding disturb me from getting pregnant?

I found out i was pregnant in Feb of 06, had a miscarriage in May, tha hospital i went to sent me hope w/no d/c. Had to have a surgical d/c in June/july. Got stuck on the depo while I was having my surgery. It was a three month thing, I didn't continue taking it. She put me on my old birthcontrol for about 4mths. The 4mth of taking it I had a period again. She switched it at the first of the year, To some 6mth no period, i took them home, but never took them! i wanted to let my body straighten up and my fiance and I want to try to have a baby, but I have been on my period for about two weeks. I don't want to go to the doctor and listen to her lecture about getting pregnant and not being married or not having the perfect jobs. We want to be happy and make our own decisions, now that we have decided, I can't get off my period. Any suggestions on increasing fertility, personal advice, personal experience, would help, Thanks!

My husband and I are always fighting about who has better reasons in why we shouldn't or should start a family. I am 26 and infertile. I would like to start treatments while I am still young because it might give me better chances in getting pregnant. My 28 year old husband on the other hand says we should wait because we're not ready to have children and to wait until he's done w/ school. He says I'm selfish for not trying to understand that. He already has 2 bachelor degrees and working on his third one. I say he's the selfish one because he doesn't consider the fact that I only have a couple of good years to have children but he on the other hand would always be able to get some other woman pregnant no matter how old he was. What should I do? Should I just wait until he's ready or what?

I am 3 weeks late and have taken many pregnancy test. All were negative. I have never been this late before in my life. The longest I have gone after a missed period is 4 days.
I'm not stressed out at all. I mean, I would be happy to be pregnant or not.
I am worried though.

I've been ttc for a while now, i've tried everything and followed all kind of advice that everybody have had to offered to me. I've always had problems with my cycle i never get it on time, sometimes i don't get one for months at a time, i'm now on toprol, to try to regulate it. Does anyone out there know anything about toprol? And how do i know when i'm ovulating if my cycle is never on time? Can someone please help me?

I tried two cycles of Clomid, but didn't ovulate on either. My RE recommended pairing Clomid with Metformin, but made me take a glucose test first. The results indicated that my insulin level is normal, but the doc thinks that I still have PCOS. He said that in women without abnormal insulin levels, Metformin is less than 50 percent effective. He still wants to try it though. Think is, I want to be as aggressive as possible, since as many of you know, this process is hell. Those odds just don't sound promising. Is there a more aggressive approach? How successful is Metformin for people like me? He is starting me on 500 mg for a week and then 1000 for a week and then 1500. What about moving to injectables? Is it too soon?

Ok, I have a 26 day cycle. The first day of my last period was on March 2. I ovulated on the 14th and my husband and I had sex on the 13th and 15th (he had to work on the 14th). This morning I after I peed and wiped, it was very light pink. My tummy has been feeling bloated and crampy today. However, my period isn't due until the 26th. Could the pink be implantation bleeding? If so, I thought that you don't get that until around your period. I don't want to get my hopes up...as it is a VERY LONG two week wait!

hi.
we've been ttc x 17months. i'm 4 days late w/period. today i have a bloody mucus discharge, and it was a little more dark brown then normal. I thought nothing of it, shoved a tampon up there, and went about my day. That was the only bleeding I've had. Nothing has come out since. Any correlation between a darker blood and mucus?

Do you think it's bad luck to test too early? It seems that this getting pregnant thing is so out of our control, I would hate to think I ruined it by testing too early. It sounds so silly an nonlogical, but does anyone else feel these same feelings? I tested this past sunday and I'm not due to start until Fri or Mon, depending how many days my cycle decides to run this month, so I know it was way too early but I just did it anyway. Now I'm wanting to test now that I'm in the "5 day before period" window, but don't want to change the fates. Let me know waht your thoughts are! Respond if you have similar thoughts or experiences!

My fiance and i have been trying to have a baby for almost 7 months and now i'm a couple weeks late, yesterday i was hungry but everything i ate made me feel full despite if it was a small portion. I woke up at 5:45 am nauseous and finally at 6:45 through up. I have only eaten crackers and drank a sprite today. I'm hungry but i feel sick.

My fiance and I did not plan on trying to conceive until after the wedding, but we miscalculated and wound up not being careful the day before ovulation. According to a fertility chart, I cannot take an accurate pregnancy test for at least a week, so my question is... when does conception actually happen? I've had alcohol and tobacco since... will that harm my baby (if I am pregnant)? (I already know I have to quit smoking, and fully plan on it prior to trying to conceive - but that is still months away, so I am fully aware of the dangers!) I've heard that next Monday is the "danger period" (according to a fertility chart) for when harm to the unborn child can begin, however, I've never been pregnant... how long does it take to 1) determine I am pregnant and 2) have harmful substances harm my unborn child...?
