It could be several things, stress being one of them. However, i took tests off and on for 3 weeks also and finally i found out i was pregnant. There might not be enough hormones to show up on a test yet.
As far as ectopic. You probably wouldn't know until you were 8 or 9 weeks along and then you could possibly start to cramp and possibly bleed and not feel well. I'm not a doctor, but that is what i've read in my pregnancy books.
If you are concerned, go see a doctor. They're not going to laugh at your or make you feel stupid. They would rather have you go find out asap so you can start to take care of your body like it should be while pregnat.
Good luck.

Even if it was an ectopic pregnancy, it would still show up as a positive reading on the home pregnancy tests. Ectopic pregnancy is usually not detected until the woman experiences severe pain in that area. Now, concerning the late period. Maybe you just skipped a period...The same thing happened to me a few months ago. I went to the doctor and he said that sometimes your body will just skip and not produce an egg on schedule like it's supposed to. You can either go to the doctor or wait a few weeks to see if you start. If you did indeed skip your period, like I suspect you did, then you should start sometime in the next few weeks and you'll have worried over nothing.

missing your period doesn't necessarily mean that you are pregnant. It's normal to miss a period,,,,I ran to the doc about 4 months ago thinking I was pregnant because I was 3 weeks late and nothing... I felt like an idiot....
but if you had unprotected sex... and you think it's possible it could be...

i've got heard of ladies persons who had effective pregnancies with low hcg stages. although, it does sound such as you had a miscarriage, with the soreness and the clots. however the actuality that your hcg stages are going up is a secret. that is not any longer too early to do an ultrasound and if your physician instructed you that, you're able to desire to locate a clean one. the only way they'll locate out what's extremely happening is to furnish you an ultrasound. ultimate needs.

there are no symptoms of an egtopic preg except severe abdominal pain, but by then it is an emergency so if you think you may be having a problem like that you need to goto your Gyn. and express your concerns they can give you an ultrasound that day in most clinics.
