Trying to Conceive - December 2006

My husband and I have been trying for a baby for the last 5 months. Usually I have really sore breasts and bad cramps, but this month I didn't. I started my period a day late, but its not normal. I am not having to wear a pad or anything. . there is only a blood color when I wipe, but its hardly anything at all. Usually by the 2nd day it is heavy. . My breasts are a little sore now.

Me & My husband both have good jobs and make good money! BUT, I'm bad about Credit cards! Were in the process of paying a few off ASAP.. That way we wont be in major debt. We were thinking about waiting until March or April to start trying to have a baby, that way we could get caught up a little bit! Also, my husband will be 29 this coming March and we both agreed to have a baby before he turns 30! Another thing, we dont have any insurance! The hospital that im planning to go to if I do get preg has a birth plan that is $2300 for normal Vag delivery and includes all doctors visits and prenatal care... That doesnt include labs and ultrasound.................. I've got it all planned out, I just don't know if we should wait or just go for it! Im also affraid I wont get preg right away because i've been on the pill for 6 years! AWWWWWWW Dont know what to do :)

A friend of mine suffered a tubal pregnancy around this time last year. Therefore resulting in her having to have one of her fallopian tubes removed. I have done some research on this, I am aware that the chances of ttc are almost cut in half every month for her. But she keeps telling me how bad she wants a baby (BTW she has been married for two and a half years) and has called me up balling sometimes. I have told her about the research I have found, and about certain medications she could go on to help assist her. But here is the problem, she is a drinker, now she doesn't get drunk so she is not an alcoholic but she does enjoy having a few beers here and there and also enjoys hitting up the bars on the weekends. She is also a smoker, I have tried very politely to tell her that she needs to cut alcohol out of her lifestyle at least for a little way and stop smoking. But when I tell her this she gets offended and accuses me of saying she is a bad person.

I'm about 60-70lbs over my ideal body weight. I had unprotected sex on Dec. 2 (around expected time of ovulation) and have been having some possible pregnancy symptoms lately (naseua, extreme breast tenderness, and HORRIBLE back aches). I have taken an early response preg. test and the result was negative. However, my period is now 2 days late and I'm wondering if I could be pregnant. Would obesity be a factor in getting a false negative? I know the best method is to be patient and wait for my period, but I'm really dying to know if I'm pregnant!

I had sex during my ovulation period. well last night was the night that i noticed the egg-white thick strechy mucus. had sex yesterday and last night. well my only question is after we got done having sex last night i only had it one time. i had some very light pink spotting when i went to the bath room after 30 mins of wating and then i was gone after that. what does that mean? was that part of ovulation. our sex wasnt rough at all and i have never had that before. did we get it this time?

i know ya'll hate the "am i pregnant" questions-- and i also know i posted already about this.
just my little disclaimer.

i'm trying to get pregnant with my husband and i'm 2 days late for my period. i am so excited and i just want to know so badly that i've tried 3 hpt's-- pathetic, i know. they were all first response and they all came up negative.
i have had some very textbook pregnancy symptoms until the last two days, i feel pretty much normal, just emotional (which i suppose could be PMS).
since i came off of birth control in november could it just be in my head that i'm pregnant, and really it's my body coming off the hormones?
i guess i just want it so badly... isn't there a way to know sooner?!

Well some of you know that my daughter has been having sex since she was 12 years old now almost 14(2 weeks)....

Well i had a long talk with her about this,because this is not appropritte behaviour i told her if she ever has sex before she is 25 again i will get her tubes tied and she will be in so much trouble. well she just informed me she might be pregnant she took a pregnancy test and it came up positive.im flipping out now. She is still a child herself how could she support a child and the boy she had sex with was only 2-3 years older then her and i didnt know she was having sex!

What could i possibly do!!???
Any advice or ideas???

i normally start my period on tues or wed. on the pill right? well I started on Mon, and it was just a lil, then i stopped mon. night, and started again tues night stopped wed. night, and then this mornin i had a somebut it was just a lil... AND im cramping and can hardly stand to sit or move... any ideas onwhats goin on?

We are planning on trying to conceive in about 6 months, when should I take prenatal vitamins? My doc said wait until I am pregnant, but I've heard others say do it a few months before. Also is the women's one-a-day vitamin good enough to take right now?

Hi there - does anybody know the position of the cervix when your pregnant? I have been monitering the position regularly & usually it is hard & low before you ovulate, then it will be high & soft & then after ovulation towards next period is low & hard again. Mine is now high & soft & my period is due in a day or so, which doesnt figure! Can anyone explain?!

i watched a t.v program the other night about a couple who couldnt have kids because the womens eggs were no good. it made me really upset and i felt so sorry for them. does any one no about becoming an egg donor or has anyone become an egg donor.

I was on depo for 7 years and went off of it, the doctor put me on pill right after. I had 2 regular peroids so i thought good, my husband and i decided to try for a child. then peroids came 10 days apart, with 1 positive hpt , 1 neg and 1 neg blood test, i wanted to go back on the pill, waited for a peroid to do so, nothing, but 2 positive hpts.. can the long term use had done something to effect that... ( any one wanting to go on depo please do not)

I did a serum beta H.C.G Blood test and the result was 0.44mIU/mL.we had sex on the day exactly on the 14th and 15th of my cycle.the pregnancy test was done 5 days after the 14th day.the laboratarian says the test is negative.but I still have a doubt.I have no other symptoms except i have to urinate often.

FIVE YEARS AGO I HAD A CONE BIOPSY DONE DUE TO CERVICAL CANCER. MY BOYRFIEND OF 2 YRS NOW AND ME HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET PREGNANT BUT NOTHING HAPPENS. I HAVE AN EIGHT YEAR OLD SON WHO IS DYING TO HAVE A LITTLE BROTHER OR SISTER. I GET ALL THE SYMPTONS OF BEING PREGNANT WHEN IM LATE BUT WHEN I TAKE THE TEST IT COME OUT NEGATIVE. I ovulated between monday and tuesday of this week, and we are trying our hardest for another baby. I have my annual pap today with my gyno, is there anyway he would be able to tell if i am pregnant with only it being a few days?? I know different things change with your cervix and everything even though your like a few days..... but just out of curiosity??? Anyone know!??!

I have PCOS i took CLomid in order to get pregnant.. I had a micro-preemie and i got my first period exactly 30 days after having my baby.. what are my chances of being "normal" this month ( this is 2 months after having the baby )? Is it possible that i could be normal? my blood sugars have been extremely normal after giving birth...

I'm feeling cramps and sore and tender breast, How early can implantation occur, my last period was Nov. 28, my cycles are of every 27 more or less exact. Could this feeling be implantation or something else still got 11 days till my next period never felt this way before.

original question was........My husband and I have been trying to have a baby. I've been using the ovulation calculators for help. My last period started Nov. 8th and I am pretty regular. According to the calculator I should have started my period 3 days ago. Now I know three days is not long so I don't want to jump the gun, also I took a HPT about about 3 days before I was due to get my period and it was negative. Anybody have any suggestions on when I should test again and is it possible to take a HPT at that time and still be pregnant even though it was negative. Thanks for any advice!!!

Update......it's now 4 days later so I am a week late now, took a HPT yesterday morning and still negative...I go to the doctor tomorrow for a blood test....so what I would like to know is....Is it possible for pregnancy to hormone to still be that low that it wouldn't show up on a HPT yet?....by the way I am 31, don't know if that matters.
