i'm so tired of this! how much longer do i have to wait?

i know ya'll hate the "am i pregnant" questions-- and i also know i posted already about this.
just my little disclaimer.

i'm trying to get pregnant with my husband and i'm 2 days late for my period. i am so excited and i just want to know so badly that i've tried 3 hpt's-- pathetic, i know. they were all first response and they all came up negative.
i have had some very textbook pregnancy symptoms until the last two days, i feel pretty much normal, just emotional (which i suppose could be PMS).
since i came off of birth control in november could it just be in my head that i'm pregnant, and really it's my body coming off the hormones?
i guess i just want it so badly... isn't there a way to know sooner?!

If you just came off of birth control in the last month or so then more than likely your cycle has yet to regulate itself. Getting pregnant right away after coming off of birth control is not completely unheard of, it does happen. But if you have taken three HPT's and they have all come back negative, especially if it was the first response those are the most sensitive tests they can detect HCG hormones at 15mIU, when most are about 25-50 mIU, so if you are two days past due for your period and your are not reading a positive on the HPT's then the chances are looking grim that you are pregnant. Although getting a false negative happens, I would suggest waiting a few more days and then taking another test, but don't get your hopes up. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best. If you are still getting a negative HPT then go and see your doctor and have them do a blood test.

I found out I was pregnant by the home pregnancy test. But I forgot the name of it but it's something in your urine that might not be strong enough to show up on a how pregnancy test, so you might need to do a blood test at the doctors office. being anxious about it doesn't help. It will come, don't worry. Those tests that you buy in drug stores are not that great. Many times, they show that you are not pregnant and you are. You have to be 2 weeks late to take a test and be sure of the results. Be patient. Why couldn't you be pregnant to ??? You will and good luck!

You sound so much like my sister right now -- she is also trying to conceive and she gets so nervous and stressed. You can not know any sooner so find something to do to relax for a couple days. Go window shopping, take a walk, take a bubble bath, have fun. Stress can play tricks on your body. You need to take time out from thinking about pregnancy.

There is no 100% sure way to know sooner.

Sorry. My wife only finds out about it 3 months after the fact, even though she tries hpt's every week. And PLEASE, STOP BUYING SO MANY! I (husband) go crazy when I see how many she buys. I know you want to find out, but please do your SO a favor and just wait. Once every week is about all I would recommend, just because there is no way for the test to change overnight.

it's hard. especially when you're trying to get pregnant. the soonest you can know is a blood test. but just try to take this time to calm yourself down and force yourself to take things one step at a time. I know you want a positive result.....like yesterday. but even once you're pregnant, you'll have to wait 9 months for that baby to get here. which seems like forever when you're pregnant. if you allow yourself to remain so over anxious, you'll end up a miserable wreck by the time the baby gets here. just take it one day at a time and take things as they come. don't rush it. good luck to you and your hubby!!!

I know it's disappointing, but you're probably not pregnant. First Response pick up the slightest hints of HCG, so chances are there is none in your urine. Keep trying! And good luck

i would suggest a blood test in about 5 or 6 days. that should tell you if you are or not.
