Trying to Conceive - November 2006

I have read Dr Shettles book, but just wanting to know if anyone has heard any tips that work - ie. foods, or any old wives tales. Obviously we are going to be happy what ever the sex be as long as he / she is healthy, but a little girl would be a bonus!

I did the ovulation calendar for this month and it said i would ovulate from Oct 27 to Nov 2. Me and my partner have been at it for two weeks everyday. I miss only one day Oct 30.

My question is does the ovulation calendar ready work? Have you taken it? Did it work for you?

i am on clomid from cycle day 7-11 (my dr. said that since it's so close to when my period ended it is ok to do this). it is the 8th day today and i am still bleeding from my last period (i've been bleeding a total of 9 days). yesterday i thought that the bleeding stopped but it's 3 pm today and i'm still having that faint bleeding. does anyone know what this can be from?

ive been trying to get pregnant for a while now with no luck, then i find out that my 16 year old (just turned 16 in sept.) and his 16 year old girlfriend are 4 months pregnant. which is crazy bc theyre still in 10th and 11th grade and way to young for that. AND this morning my aunt (his mom, which is 39) came over and announce that she is 2 months pregnant. i just thought that was weird. i wish it was that easy getting pregnant for me..*crosses arms and pouts* but hey at least ill be getting a couple baby cousins though.

My last period began on Oct 7th. I had unprotected sex with my BF on Oct 12th (the day my period ended) then again on Oct 17th. Is it possible that I could have gotten pregnant? Today is Nov 2nd and I have been experiencing some LIGHT nausea at various times throughout the day today and my breast have been extremely SORE for a few days now.

A little history: I am 34 years old and never been on birth control and never have been pregnant. Just recently have been trying to conceive. My periods have been like clock work for over a year now with 27-29 day cycles. However for the past 3 months my periods have been messed up. I have been late. VERY LATE for the past 3 months, on 38-42 day cycles. I noticed about a week after my period, about the time I had sex on the 17th, that I had ALOT of cervical mucus and as the week progressed, it got thicker. So is it possible that I was ovualting that soon AFTER my period and became pregnant on the 17th? Any thoughts on this is greatly appreciated

I'm going to tell you how I've been feeling... But keep in mind I have tonsillitis too so perhaps that explains a lot...

Dizziness
Low-grade fever (99.0--100.7)
Extremely painful gums
Weight Gain (11 lbs in the last like month)
Extremely fatigue
Late period (17 days)
Frequent Urination
I woke up in the middle of the night with a really sharp pain in my lower abdomen (right side) that only happened once.

and last but not least my horoscope (yes I believe them) It said "A dearly held wish of yours is about to become reality. When it happens, you'll have to make some big changes in your life. Some advice about how to deal with it is coming your way, albeit in a strange disguise." (My one and only wish is to have a baby!) SO... tell me please, am I on my way to sheer happiness?!

i am forty years old, have regular odourless menstration. doctor said my tubes are not blocked. my husband impregnates others women. the closest i was to pregnancy was when my menstration stopped for few months;but no conception took place. spiritual efforts have not worked either. i need a child- but my income can not meet cost of artificial conception.

I took a preg test & as the test is running the test line wasn't the color is should be (as it's given the result.) It was a white as if you could see where the pos. line should be then it became a faint line. It cant b an evaporated line because the test was starting. Anyone with any answers???

my cervix is high and soft, when it should be low and hard. im three days late for my period. i have no cramps, my breasts hurt a bit. no vomiting, a few days ago, i had a light pink thick discharge, but no period. im constipated.. and it hurts. i tested negative, what the heck is goin on????????????????

I was on birth control for the last 3 years steady and off/on for 5 years before that. In June, I went off birth control so me and hubby could try for a baby (1st together). When I was pregnant with my daughter @ 18, I waited a long time (2 months) to take a test, because I was so young and kept hoping maybe I wasn't, finally taking the test it immediately showed that I was pregnant.

Now, I want to get pregnant, since going off the pill my cycles have been 26 days, 26 days, 25 days, 25 days. This month I thought maybe 24 days...lol, but it has been 27 days and no period! I took a test last night and again this morning (not first thing in the morning), but they both came back negative.

I don't want to go to the doctor b/c I don't want to be one of those hypochondriacs or feel stupid 4 not waiting long enough. What do you think?

Okay, I posted This yesterday:
Trick-or-Treat!?!?!?
I took an HPT yesterday and The second line was almost invisible but I could still BARELY see it. I want to know if it's possible to see the line (let me emphasize it was almost invisible) But I could make it out. It wasn't quite pink, but it wasn't white either. Were my eyes playing tricks on me, is it possible to see the line and it not really be there? I should have had AF come day before yesterday.
Anyone else have the same experience, what was the outcome?

UPDATE:
I retook the test last night at about 10. It was POSITIVE!!!!!
I had my blood drawn this morning. I know I'm pregnant because I've had 3+, but due to work, I have to have Dr. proof.

but....I'm PREGNANT!!!

Me and my spouse have been trying to have a baby for at least 4yrs now. And I can't seem to get preganant, he already has a child from a previous relationship and he wants another. i have no kids and i really want a child. Is it that I can't have kids? What should I do. My spouse is telling me lets adopt, but that's something that I really don't want to do. It's trying me crazy. If I can't have kids I might loose my mind, HELP ME PLEASE?????

I am well aware that if you miss a pill, you can get pregnant. How come, then, you are able to come off it for a week for your bleed and yet do not get pregnant? I just don't really get it. I know it's a breakthrough bleed, not a period you have when off the pill. But I don't get what the difference is between skiping it for that week or missing one single pill. Sensible answers only, please.
