I don't think weight gain has much to do with it; try keeping a close watch on your cycles to determine when you are ovulating. You could also talk to your doctor and get checked just in case. Good luck!

If you and your husband have been making love without using contraception for all this time and you are not pregant yet, you should seek medical advice. You don't mention how old you are, but of women trying to get pregnant:
At age 30, 75% will get pregnant within one year, and 91% within four years.
At age 35, 66% will get pregnant within one year, and 84% within four years.
At age 40, 44% will get pregnant within one year, and 64% within four years.
Over 35, fertility declines anyway, so you should seek help more quickly to maximise your chances of fertility treatment working.
You can help things along naturally by:
1) Making love in the middle of your menstrual cycle. The "average" woman with a 28 day menstrual cycle will ovulate on day 14 and this is the best time to get pregnant. Sperm can live in the vagina for up to five days, and not everyone ovulates exactly on day 14, so enjoy yourselves as much as possible a few days either side of day 14 too! You can buy ovulation prediction kits at a pharmacist which will let you know exactly when you are at your most fertile.
2) Eat healthily, avoid tobacco and alcohol - this applies to both of you. Take prenatal vitamins. Take some exercise. Get yourself as healthy as possible.
3) Advise your husband not to wear tight underwear or take hot baths - high temperatures can decrease sperm count.
4) Relax. I know it's easier said than done, but try not to worry about it, this is the very best way to ensure that your body thinks the situation is too stressful for you to sustain a pregnancy right now.

Dulce, to get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.
After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.
After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.
Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

DO NOT URINATE RIGHT AFTER SEX. Urinate before sex and after sex stand on your head for 30 minutes.
My husband and I got married in December '05 and we didnt get pregnant until this May. We tried and tried to the point that I felt something was wrong with us. I kept faith in god (prayed for a healthy pregnancy) and I ordered some PreSeed (a lubricant that helps sperm travel) and I GOT PREGNANT the first time using it! Go to preseed.com and order some. Its safe and it worked. * Also start taking prenatal vitamins before you get pregnant, it helps decrease risks of certain diseases/illnesses in babies that develop before you even know that you are pregnant.*
God Bless you & yours.

you need to speak to your doctor and find out if there is any reason why you can't conceive again. not sure how long you have been trying but if it is more than 6 months then speak to a professional who is able to do appropriate tests
