Everyones body is very different. My best friend leaked thru her entire 3rd trimester. I had colostrum the day I delivered my first son. With my second son, I could not pump so much as one drop for his first week of life. We had a big scare with my second and while in the hospital crying over this problem, my milk came in. Sometimes allowing warm water to hit your breasts in the shower can cause leaking or help you "let down".

this is something where everyone is different. Some women have colostrum all through pregnancy some women don't have it until they need it. Breast tenderness is common however in the first 4-12 weeks.
