I am 41 and 6/7 weeks pregnant... so tomorrow will be 42 weeks pregnant. I am beyond frustrated. had my stress test, had an ultrasound because they are afraid the baby is getting too big..well isn't that just a sherlock holmes moment. Two weeks ago monday, the baby weighed 8 lbs 10 oz, by their best guess. My induction is scheduled to "start" on Feb. 5th and be completed on the 6th. I know that baby gains approximately 1/2 lb or more per week at the end. So that being said, what are the chances that I could still deliver this child vaginally if he starts to hit upwards of 10-11 lbs. My two previous were 9lbs 4oz and 8lbs 3oz. both 41 weeks overdue. I am afraid that they have screwed around for so long that i will end up with a c-section.
Any thoughts or comments or anything at this point is welcomed. And i'm looking to hear that moms have delivered babies that were over the 10 lb. mark. Thanks so much ladies.

I've always been scared about having a miscarriage and I cant figure out why. I think I watch too many tv shows with bad stuff to say and that may be what scares me. I am 27 weeks now, I feel baby move ALOT, my doctor says he is just fine. But......the scared feelings in my mind make me still alittle scared. If he was born now- what are his chances of surviving at 27 weeks? Also am I in the clearing for miscarriage or a stillborn baby? That scares me too. Please help me try to learn more about where I sit (safe wise) at 27 weeks.

I'm expecting my first child in early June, and it's a boy! I'm not yet married to the baby's father, but we do plan on marrying evenutally (we've been together 7 years). I'm the youngest of 2 daughters and the only one who ever wanted children. Since I have no brothers, I want my son to carry on my last name, and no, it's not a common name like Smith or Jones. My fiancee is ok with this idea since he has 2 other brothers and 2 other sisters. Their last name will def. be able to live on. One of his sisters just found out today about the baby's last name and is upset about it. I tried to explain to her that it means a lot to my family and me to give this child my last name, but she's still upset. Am I being selfish with this? I think her parents will respond in the same manner. Just because my son will have my last name doesn't make him any less a part of their family, but I'm sure they won't see it that way. Should I consider hyphenating our last names or something along those lines???

I am 20 years old and 28 weeks pregnant. I havent actually come to this problem yet but I wanted to get some advice on what I should do when the time comes..but heres my situation.I have no problem pumping breast milk into a bottle and letting my baby drink it that way. Its not just that I dont like the idea, I also want my fiancee to be able to feed the baby and we will be traveling alot so i thought bottle feeding would be more reasonable. So my question is, is it better to pump the milk and feed it to your baby in a bottle or just to go with formula? I know breast milk is better for the baby but do you think its horrible to not breast feed? Any advice would be great..Im new at all of this!!

I'm maid of honor at a wedding and its two weeks before my due date. I'm a little worried that since this is the 2nd time around that maybe the baby will come early. My first time, my son arrived 4 days after his due date. But I hear the 2nd time it happens faster. All women who have given birth twice, I would love to know if when you gave birth to each, before, after or on your due date. Thanks!

This is my second pregnancy (actually my third but I miscarried that baby at 6-7 weeks.) I felt my son moving between 17-18 weeks. I am currently 12 weeks. Earlier today I was sitting on the couch and felt a "bubble" in my tummy..... My first thought was oh the baby is moving. Then I realized it is probably too early. The thing that has me thinking, is that it didn't feel like a gas bubble. I was just wondering when do people usually feel the baby move during the second pregnancy?
