Pregnancy - November 2006

Before I was born my mom had a miscarriage, (lucky I came into this world). Anyway, she didn't have sex with my dad at all when she found out she was pregnant with me, but she did have sex with him when she was pregnant before she had the miscarriage. So, just wondering, can sex affect a pregnancy? Also, up until what point of a pregnancy can you have sex?

I am currently pregnant, and of course like any mother-to-be terrified of the thought of losing a child. I have had one successful pregnancy, and no miscarriages. However, out of curiousity I was wondering, at what point can a baby survive with medical intervention if born early?

im ttc im 5 days late for my period. but other than that i have no preg. symptoms. my breasts hurt a bit, but thats it. i took a preg. test but neg. the nurse i talked to said, if i am preg. the hcg isnt high enough to be detected yet maybe, so try again in a week. ill def do that. but has this evr happen to any1 and it turned out they were preg. if i am i will def. have an abortion because i drank. does beer or liquor affect a baby in the early weeks of preg?im sure it does.

I am do on the 12th of Nov. And I know I will be overdue. I bought a bottle of castor oil done the research and read other peoples stories. Next weekend is perfect timeing to have the baby. To drink the oil or not?

I'm 21 weeks along with my baby girl and every ob appointment i've had she has been active and healthy and doing just great. But when I had my appointment today, my ob told me that she wanted to schedule another ultrasound for me next month because my fluid was showing a little low. She said average was 8.7 and mine was 8.4. She told me not to worry she just wanted to moniter it. But I'm very worried. I've never heard of this before. I'm not leaking any fluid that I know of. Someone please give me some advice. I dont want anything bad to happen to my baby.

Is there any health factors that I should worry about. Hi, I'm 40 and very happily 8 wks pregnant with our 3rd baby. With my 2 first children I was with a OBGYN who used pain relief whether a hot tub or an epid.(I used both:) but she practices far from where I now live so I'm looking for another Dr.
My question is since I'm 40 I'm a little concerned with going with a OBYGN since I've heard that they tend to order C-sections more readily if the mother is over 40 (?). I've heard that a midwife might
not so quickly (?) But Midwifes don't use epid. as much as a OBGYN does (right?) I 'd like to know that there's an option of pain relief in the form of medicine, since I was in a lot of pain with my 1st / 2nd and want to be prepared if the 3rd is the same. With my 1st 2 children I had the epid. once I had dilated to 7. My Dr. said that if I had meds. before then the labor might be slowed down, thus might end with a C-section.
What do you think? It's been 10 yrs. since I've been preg. so this is like the 1st time.

I'm getting so frustrated with my husband. He is blaiming me for forgetting things that I know I did not forget. We are having huge fights over this and I don't know what to do. He had my starbucks card and we were out today and I asked for it back to pay for the drink. He told me he gave it back and that I put it in my purse. I know I didn't do this, I remember wondering when he would give it back but didn't make a big deal of it. I've looked through my purse and it isn't in there. I don't even care about the stupid starbucks card, it's the fact that he's blaming all the things he forgot about on my "preggo brain." The other day he told me to take out the garbage because he took it out for me the other day. I know he didn't. I asked him too (I was very sick that night) but he refused to, so I took it out myself. He was mad at me then too because I "forgot" and I should have just done it. I'm at my wits end. He won't even talk about it.

The daughter of a friend of mine is three months pregnant and the doctors just discovered that her unborn baby has spina bifida. We are all shocked and saddened, and I just wondered, how much hope is there for this baby? I would like to believe that the child will live and be able to have a full life--I know that the likelihood is high that he or she will be significantly disabled....what do you know about this? I have had a few contractions even woke me up a few times. I have U.D. I had sergory last November but the cyst came back. The pain could be from the incisions or possible bladder infection (waiting for test results) but they did not say anything about them being contractions. I still am waking with pain and have a 7 year old son with him I did not have any of these problems. Any advice for this strange circumstance?

I already had 2 herniated disks before I got pregnant and today I'm positive something has happened to another one of my disks (same symptoms as before with my first accident but on the other side now and much worse.) Has anybody had to deal with this while pregnant? Were you able to do anything for the pain other then "tylenol and heating pad?" Also, did you have to have a c-section because of it?

is it possible i can be pregnant even if the test said negative i took 3 tests in 3 days and they all came out negative. When will my baby be born?
The last day of my period was march 20 2006 doc says i will be having my baby jan. 30 2007 but that 10 months we have baby in 9 months whats up? do the sonograms really work on the date of giving labor? oh i am a first time mommy.

Oh another question..
My baby moves alot i mean alot, i knew i was preg. by the 2 month cause i felt the baby, is it that normal for baby to move that much?
