some doctors will put the mother on aspirin to thin the blood so that the uterus can attach because some mothers have miscarriages due to the lining of the uterus. I don't think that the aspirin does any harm during the first trimester, but most women are taken off of them after the first trimester unless the doctor states otherwise. Tylenol is pretty much the only medication that an expecting mother can take without the consent of her doctor.

There has been no proven link to a definent factor of asprin, but because it thins the blood, and does other things you should not take it ever. The baby relies on normal thickness blood for proper nutrient supply to help this developing thing. Acetometophin is the sfaest thing to take in low doses at any point in the pregnancy. If you have taken asprin, dont worry, there in a .0000001 chnace it has done anything to affect your baby. Good luck and heres hopeing for a healthy baby and smooth pregnancy.

If you took it within the first few weeks of pregnancy, then I wouldn't worry about it. I was still taking all of my asthma and allergy medication during my first few weeks, and everything turned out absolutely fine. Just don't use aspirin anymore. The only safe pain reliever to use during pregnancy is Tylenol. If you're really nervous about it, talk to your doctor. I'm sure that he/she will reassure you that it's okay and everything will be fine.
