If you are due on January 30th, the date of your last menstrual period would have been on or around April 25th of this year. Unless you didn't have a regular period before you got pregnant. That could explain why your date is the way it is because that's what happened to me. According to my last menstrual period, I should be a week further along than I am, but when the sonographer did my ultrasound, she found that I was a week behind. Funny how that works, right? At any rate, I've attached a link to where you can find out what your due date would have been if you're really going by your last period. Also, when counting pregnancy months, you count 4 weeks in a month. There are 40 weeks in a full term pregnancy so you would think it's 10 months, not 9.

You felt your baby at 2 months? I thought I was early. I felt my baby at 14 weeks (2 1/2 months). Now, he moves non-stop! So active!!! My doctor hasn't said anything about it she told me he was active too.

No, you wearing a lot of pink will not affect your baby's sexual preference if you're having a boy -- kinda of ridiculous don't ya think?

Congrats and good luck!

First of all, you want the FIRST DAY of your LAST period...that might change things around a bit. Also, if your doctor did a sonogram, he may have decided that you missed a period that had nothing to do with you being pregnant, and then you got pregnant the very next month. If you can figure out the first day of your last period though, try using this link-- http://pregnancy.parenthood.com/pregcal.html -- to get a due date, this will just be an estimate, but it should be close.

It's not really 9 months, it's more like 8 1/2, but 40 weeks is the most accurate measurement for the length of the pregnancy.

At two months (8 weeks) pregnant there is no way you are feeling the baby move...no offense, but what you are feeling is your body shifting around and changing and you are maybe feeling a little gassy. Even the smallest (and most sensitive) of women won't feel any fetal movement until they are about 16 weeks along, and if you don't feel movement until almost 24 weeks, that's still perfectly normal.

sonograms can help figure out your due date, much more accurately than the date of your last period, for sure. however your due date is just an estimate, you can have the baby up to two weeks before this date, or two weeks after and still be considered right on time. Believe me, by the time you're 2 weeks from your due date you'll be praying that this baby pops out tomorrow!

What color you wear isn't going to affect your baby in the slightest. If you dress a baby boy in pink a lot of people may think he's a girl, and some people even assume that mommies wearing pink mean that they're carrying a girl, or blue = boy, but this is just people's assumptions, it will not affect your baby in the slightest!

Hope all of this helps!

LOL! i feel your pain!!! i was the same way with my first kid, the OB.s assume you know the routeen. It is very confusing, but getting the book "what to expect when your expecting" is what answerd most of my Q's it;s 12$ at any book store, or even at your library, online for free too!!!. Okay 38 weeks is full term because the use the 2 weeks before you actually made the kid in there to make 40. the ten months. so you are 9 months pregnant by technicality, but 10 months by calender and because they add the 2-3 weeks for before you actually got pregnant, going off of your last recorded period. It is all so confusing. And you probably didnt feel kicks at 8 weeks, it was probably gas. Babaies arms and legs arent hard enough at that point to make any feeling. now if you said 15 weeks it is a little more believable. But i thought i had kicks at 12 weeks during my ultrasound and found it to be gas. even now in my second pregnancy i am 24 weeks, and just started feeling kicks at 19 weeks, knowing full well what they felt like. I hope it doesnt kick you in the bladder to much. Before i leave the house i always use the little girls room, i learned the first pregnancy when my little baby kicked me in the bladder and made me pee, i was standing in line at the grocery store, and i couldnt hold it back... thankfully i dont think anyone noticed and i made my hubby check out while i made a stealthy escape out to the car. Good luck and ask your mom or even grandmother for advice, they have been though it before, and can help shed some light on the little things... Good luck!!!

Wearing pink will not influence his sexual preference. It is all on his final decision usually made in the early teen years. Dont worry and enjoy your pregnancy... soon will be the time of sleepless nights, endless diaper changes, feedings, laundary and people visiting at the wrong time. Mother hood!!! LOL.

PS have lots of baby receaving blankets, they get dirty faster than you would think..... have at least 10 available at any one time!!!

First of all, you're really early to be at all concerned about when your baby might be delivered. Delivery dates are just rough estimates. There's more like a 6-week period that is normal to deliver within. You could probably deliver at any point between the 2nd week of January and 3 weeks into February and be considered normal & healthy. Delivery dates are calculated from your last period, which means 2 weeks after that you ovulated and were fertile & then it takes up to 2 weeks for the egg to implant into the lining of the uterus. So that's why it sounds like 10 months when its' 9. But don't be fooled into believing dates manufactured by doctors. The baby will come whenver she wants!
P.S.I highly recommend you visit your local library and check out some books on pregnancy & childbirth -- they will ease your worries! It's very normal for a baby to move alot, until the end when they don't have as much room to move around. Good luck!

LOL!!

We all are the first time around :))

Yeah, it's obviously a man thing. Forty weeks equals 10 months. But, it's said that it's nine months. I never figured that out, my doctor laughed at me like I was a crazy pregnant woman. (Which I was at the time)

My doc gave me March 3 as my due date. And, labor started the morning of March 3 :)) Baby came the next morning, so I believe they are pretty accurate. Every woman has a different experience though.

No, pink won't affect the sex of the baby.

Good Luck!
Source(s):

my experience; my son was born on March 4 it is a great time to a have a baby! Winter is ending and summer begins - no worries of colds. And, by the time fall/winter arrives your baby will be able to fiend that off.

First, don't trust the sonograms, they don't know what the hell they are talking about! My first baby was to be born October 25, but he was born in September. It all depends. some baby's can come early, some late. Heck, it's basically all up to the baby!

Yes, it is perfectly normal for baby to move a lot. It is actually good for them because it stimulates the mind. That is how I found out I was pregnant for the second time, I was wondering why they were moving so much. It was because I had identical twin girls.

No, The baby can't tell what you are wearing on the outside. But I think they can sense what you feel or think. My Little boy loves to watch lifetime with me because that is all I watched when I was pregnant with him. also, he really responds to how his daddy calls me big momma because that is what my husband calls me when I am pregnant. Now for the sixth time.

GOOD LUCK AND DON'T WORRY TOO MUCH, THE SONOGRAMS ALWAYS LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes sweetie we are technically pregnant for a full nine months which is really considered ten months. You normally don't feel the baby move that early in pregnancy,at 2 months pregnant your baby is so extremely small,so it was probably gas. Wearing pink will not affect your childs sexual preference. Stop driving your self crazy with these weird thoughts. Its cute though cause your a first time mom so you can get away with it this time.!!!!!Congrats. and good luck...
