Pregnancy - November 2006

Is it normal to get sharp pains in the lower pelvic area when you sneeze? It's so sharp that I end up holding my stomache in pain. i'm 14 weeks pregnant and I heard the heartbeat a week ago. Also is it normal not to be gaining weight? i lost 15 lbs in the first trimester and have not gained or lost since week 12? Only females answer please. (don't tell me to ask a doctor please im in the process of changing insurance so I can't ask right now until I get coverage and a new doctor)

iv been having some minor chest pains that i can handle.i can handle pain pretty good so i dont know if i should worry but my chest pains are kinda harsh not to go the emergency room or anything like that but at times it kinda hurts when i take a kinda deep breath and at times a kinda strong pain comes and goes in a couple seconds has any one been through this.

I just realized that some of the marinades and sauces I use contain a small percentage of alcohol because they contain wine or other ingredients. Is the alcohol burned off during cooking or could consuming it pose a problem for the baby? I'm 9 weeks pregnant.

Right around the time that I was to be expecting my period, i had what seemed to be the end of a period, only for 3 days and then nothing. Mine usually last for about 7-9 days. There may be a chance that I'm pregnant but is still too early to tell by home pregnancy test, and yes I have made an appointment with my doctor. I was wondering if anyone had experienced this before they found out they were pregnant. Please let me know :)

I was with my panties and pants, he was only with his undies, but tight undies, I don't know if he eyaculated or something, but all my clothes were dry, except of my panties that were a little wet and had a secretion, it was mine no?, so it's a stupid question, but I can't be pregnant no?

me and hubby have been trying to conceive since august. my last period was Sept 29- Oct 4. my cycle is between 30-36. From my Ovulation predictor, it looked like i ovulated between Oct 18-22, i dont know which exact date. I have been spotting tan discharge/brown blood from Sun Oct 29-Sun Nov 5. two days out of that week (On wednesday and yesterday) i didnt spot at all. yesterday my nausea got soo bad right after i ate, i had to run to the bathroom to throw up. This morning my abdomen area had some pressure there and a little cramping, now the cramping went away. i took a first response this morning and it was neg. i have a doctor app. tomorrow at 9am. what do you think is going on?

I know there might be some risks with hair dye, but is it the same with a color rinse, the ones that wash out after so many washes? I kind of want to get a rinse put on my hair, but I'm not sure whether or not I'm pregnant. If I am, I don't want to cause any harm to my child. Can someone give me some advice?

I have stretch marks on my legs and breasts from puberty so its not like I should even care, but I want to avoid getting stretch marks on my stomach while pregnant.

What works? Any special lotions? Just not gaining a lot of weight too fast?

Any advice?

Okay, I went into the hospital this morning with contractions strong enough to be pretty darn painful. (me freaking out because I'm barely 37 weeks probably did not help) They put me on the moniter and found a regular pattern. After a while, they had me do laps around the hospital and then checked me again... (I started at one cm dilated) I was at two, so they kept me for a while longer and then had me walk some more. About an hour later there had been no change so they sent me home. Since then I've taken a great nap and the actual contractions have mostly gone away, though I still have what feels like bad menstrual cramps and back pain.... They said they might see me later on tonight but how high are my chances of going into active labor soon? Has this happened to anyone. Plus, when is this pain going to stop and how can I speed up the process. Thanks in advance

I'm 9 weeks pregnant and just realized my toothpaste and mouthwash both have a small percentage of alcohol in them. If I swallowed a bit while brushing or using the mouthwash, would it pose a problem for the baby? I'm 9 weeks pregnant.

im a pregnant teen and i need help first off my unborn baby's daddy wont have anything to do with him/her and im pissed second my parents aren't very excited about all this and third im being called a whore at school...what should i do??? drop out and take care of my baby without a father involved????? i dont want to drop out of school and i want my baby to have a father im 16 and i feel as though im growing up to fast i cant even think straight anymore to many problems and for some reson i feel as though my parents are going to kick me out of the house..any help?...thanks

Im 12 weeks pregnant going into the 13 week and still have very bad nausea and i do vomit anything i eat but it only happans in the morings. When would it stop? I cant even keep fruits nor water down in the mornings.

what does a mucus plug look like? my first pregnancy i never lost it that i know of. I have had really bad sharp pains in my lower "area" all day so have been keeping an eye and the loss of mucus, and just now I wiped and there was like a quarter size (maybe a little larger) of mucus but it wasn't watery (it was actually like THICK) and when I pulled on it (YUCK I KNOW) it was streachy. was that my mucus plug? I am 33 weeks I called doc and have an appointment tomorrow I was just wondering what this sounds like to you.

She Cried!
We have a boy together, and my step daughter lives with her mom, who just had a baby....(8mths old) We always try and do things alone with her and kiss and hug her, but she just always feels jealous....and lets it be known..

She said she dosent want anymore brothers/sisters, Her mom is thinking of adopting another one as well, next year. so she will have 3 brothers an sisters on both sides of her family. She was not accepting the idea of me being pregnant! All tears!


Anyone else experience this...It wasnt the reaction I was hoping for..It really hurt my feelings, Im emotional right now any way....these pregnancy hormones! ha ha

Any advice....

On my 18th birthday I moved about 5 states away....VERY long drive...and i didnt start my period when i was supposed to. I was acctually 1 month late for my period and i ended up have a very light flow for 1 day then it stopped....so a few more days later I started my period again and it was really heavy....I was wondering if anyone would know why my period did this???

Do you think two weeks is enough time from the time you had sex-to tell-- Some say yes and some say no... Is 14days long enough for your body to hafve enough of the pregnancy hormone for the test to get a postive?
